LET'S GO TO THE ZOO YEAH!!

[Mikoto had said it was a surprise and Baroona had walked halfway across the City, so it had better been a good one. So far he was unimpressed. The middle of (sort of) Central Park wasn't exactly anything he hadn't seen before. Trees. Grass. Park things. All old hat to him. What was Mikoto planning on surprising him with? A bouquet?

(He hoped not.)

Not to mention she was late. Again. As always. It didn't really bother him so much as the tension of her "surprise" did. After repeated "surprises" with Tom, he had grown somewhat wary of the word. Still, he doubted Mikoto would drug him into a car which makes settling down on a bench to wait for her all the more easier. When she finally arrives, he'll have his head tilted up, watching the birds in the tree above him.]

And I would punch you back and then zap you. And still drag you onto the bus.

[Mikoto grins impishly. Pfft, well, in that case, she doesn't have to fight fair!

She turns on her heel, folding her hands behind her back innocently and holding her head up in the air primly.]

I don't wanna spoil it. It wouldn't be much of a surprise if I gave it away this soon. Just follow me.

[As they walk further onward, there seem to be more and more children around, interestingly (or suspiciously) enough.]

[Eye. Twitch. She's having a mini-guilt trip of her own at that remark, if only because...she's awful with children. Mikoto rather awkwardly herds a few kids forward, despite one little girl trying to go into her purse. With a huff, she pulls out a small pack of strawberry Pocky, and hands it to the girl, who quickly hugs her and skips off, with the other children running after her, begging her to share.

Mikoto turns pink. She was improving, however.]

And you'd barely fit inside a daycare, so there's that.

[A few more paces, and the sound of an elephant bellowing can be heard. Mikoto starts giggling a little, until they're in front of a wrought-iron entryway with a sign that reads, "Central Park Zoo."

She turns toward Baroona.]

I told you I'd look into going to the zoo last time, remember?
